Privacy notice
Last updated [DATE]
This notice explains how Harbourfield Care Advisory Ltd collects and uses personal data. We are the data controller for the information described here, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under reference [ICO REFERENCE].
What we collect
If you contact us through this website or by email, we collect the name, organisation, email address, telephone number and any details you choose to include in your message.
Where we go on to work with you, we will hold contact details for the people we deal with, together with the records needed to deliver the engagement. Our engagement letter and data processing agreement set that out in full.
Information about children
Our consultancy work brings us into contact with records relating to children, staff and families. We access those records under a written data processing agreement with the provider, who remains the controller for that information. We do not ask for information identifying a child through this website, and you should not send it to us by email.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss whether we can help — our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
- To deliver work you have engaged us for — performance of our contract with you.
- To meet legal, safeguarding and regulatory obligations — legal obligation.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use [NAME YOUR EMAIL AND FILE STORAGE PROVIDERS] to run our email and store documents. Where a sale process requires it, information is shared with named buyers, solicitors and accountants — but only with your instruction, and under confidentiality agreements.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after [PERIOD]. Engagement records are kept for [PERIOD] after the work ends, in line with our professional and insurance obligations.
Where it is held
Personal data is held within the UK or the European Economic Area. Where a provider we use stores data elsewhere, we rely on the appropriate safeguards permitted under UK data protection law.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email info@harbourfield.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google’s servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
